In this video, Hussain Yee emphasized that the law of Islam belongs to Allah. It's a divine law, not a man-made law. And that is why, according to him, Islamic law should not be called "Muhammadan law" as it gives the impression that Prophet Muhammad was the one who created it, not from Allah. Prophet Muhammad is the Last Messenger of Allah. His duty is to convey the Message of Allah to Mankind, to tell people the do's and the don'ts.
The law of Islam is different from other laws which keep changing because these laws are not divine. Hussain said: "From the day of the Prophet until today, until the future, until the Day of Judgment, the law of Allah will never change and it doesn't favor anybody. It applies to everybody and nobody is above the law in Islam... Islamic law is not just for Muslims. People who are not yet Muslim are also welcome to follow the Law."
Hussain said that when people understand what Islamic law is, they will never, never say that Islamic law is not practical or that it is not fair. They will find pure justice in Islamic law. He added, "But it is so sad to say that a lot of Muslims are not prepared to accept even the Islamic law." Islamic law starts with oneself. It does not start with the authorities. Hussain entreats Muslims: "Whenever you encounter any problem, go back to Allah. Open the Book of Allah, and look at the way the Prophet has shown us how to solve your problem?"
Referring to the al-Qur'an, Hussain said: "Whoever do not follow the Islamic law, then he is a kafir. He's a wrongdoer. He's a fasiq, disobedient. This does not apply only to the authorities. It applies to every individual. That's why Allah said that if you have any dispute or disagreement in any matter, refer back to the Book of Allah, and the teachings of the Prophet to solve your problem... Following Allah, nobody will go wrong."
Hussain also beseeched everyone not to bring their problem to court: "Solve it within yourself, with the family, because if you come back to Islam, the way of Allah and the Prophet, you will never create any misunderstanding about Islam to yourself. And you will never create any misunderstanding to the people who are not yet Muslim."
